Pupil Voice

Here at Llangiwg Primary School we are very proud of the way our children contribute to the running of the school and we are proud to say that every pupil is part of a committee and has the chance to share ideas. We have also brought together the Chair and Vice Chair from all committees to create a School Cabinet called Y Senedd. They meet regularly with the Headteacher to share news from their committee meetings.

Our Committees are at the centre of all the decisions that are made in Llangiwg Primary School.  Each committee is led by a teacher, a chairperson and vice chairperson. The role is to ensure that the ideas and voices of all the children are heard enabling Llangiwg Primary to be the best that it can be.

We currently have a range committees that are run by the pupils: The School Council, The Eco Committee, The Healthy Schools Committee, Digital Leaders, Criw Cymraeg, Rights Respecting, Red Caps and Learning Leaders.  The aims of these committees are to allow every pupil at the school to gain the experience of being part of a committee and to give them a voice in the decision-making for whole school improvement.
